Two Mexican Large Glass and Tin Six Pointed Stars with Six Pointed Glass Domes
These were left behind in a barn on a property purchased in the early 1980's. These have been in dry storage since then. I believe them to be of 1950's vintage, that's my best guess. At that time the property owners were in their 80's so it could be that these are older. They are dusty and dirty. One of the pair has two cracked/broken pieces of glass and the other has one (see photos). It appears that all of the soldered joints are in good shape. There is some rust (see photos). One dome on each of these is hinged for access. These are in good shape and the hinges still work. Although they are currently wired for light bulbs and that wiring is still intact, it would need to be redone. I believe that these were originally intended to hold candles. With a good cleaning they will be beautiful.
Measured from star point to point approx 17" across and from dome point to point approx 9" wide.
These are very fragile. They will require a fairly large box and some serious packing. Please be aware that the estimated shipping charges are accurate.
