    Description

Quoting from the dust jacket: "In this first volume of his classic history of Grand Prix Cars and their races, Laurence Pomeroy covers the period of 1906 to 1939. The early chapters are devoted to a detailed survey of the contemporary racing background.  -----  The second part of the volume contains detailed technical descriptions of 17 outstanding examples of the Grand Prix cars from the 1908 Itala to the 1939 Mercedes Benz type W163."
The book is beautifully illustrated with period photographs as well as detailed cut-away drawings by L/C. Cresswell. Artists will appreciate the reproduction of sketches  Cresswell made in preparation for  the cut-away drawings.
Except for the small tears in the upper left corner of the dust jacket, the book is in outstanding condition.
