This is a genuine product.
*Condition Notes:  This pen is new and uncarried but has an aesthetic defect and some blemishing.  1)  There is an inclusion in the lacquer just below the clip band on one of the black stripes.  It appears to be a fleck of material or underlying imperfection that was likely exposed after buffing and missed by Montblanc.  The effect is very small, only the size of a pinprick.  2)  Section has a few hairline scratches from the cap threads.  3)  Finial stripes do not perfectly align with the cap stripes; but this is very common with this line and should not be thought of as a defect.
Aesthetic Note:  The Beatles Fountain Pen does not have an integrated stop to ensure alignment of the pattern.  It does closely align when inserted with the correct orientation; but unless done with care, it is normal for the pattern to be randomly aligned.  Even so, it won't be absolutely perfect, and alignment varies depending on the individual pen.  Images of the pen shown have been presented for aesthetics and may not reflect the exact position with the cap fully tightened.
The Beatles Special Edition Fountain Pen honors the iconic rock band with luxurious design that is distinctively Montblanc.  The pen features lacquered-metal construction with colorful stripes reflective of the costumes worn on the album covers of 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Love Me Do'.  Details are ruthenium coated.  The cone is inspired by the mixing table button at Abbey Road Studios, while the finial is modeled after the studio's microphone.  The clip design integrates the band's iconic mustaches.
The medium nib is 14K gold with a special engraving.
The finial is set with Montblanc's snowca
p emblem in black and white precious-resin.  Piston-fill mechanism.  Made in Germany.
